Wendy Starland ~ ... Garden of Temptation

"Talent, beauty, passion and determination in a Garden of Temptation."

(c) Ian Octoman
Wendy was one of the original artists played on TOR. Her song, Garden of Temptation, which was the intro music to the pilot of the TV show "Las Vegas", is available on the TOR media player in the left margin.

I remember the first time I received the email from Wendy after I'd sent a note letting artists know about TOR.  She sent a couple of songs, "Stolen Love" and "Garden of Temptation."  I liked GofT the best, still do, and posted the song in the first series of "online radio" shows I put together.  I had no clue what I was doing it was 2005.

As time progressed, she sent her latest to me, "Dancing by the Sea" and asked if I'd give it a "spin".  I did, a really great song that's available as a music video as well.  I posted the song, let Wendy know that I had, and within minutes an email came back... all it said was "Don't you think it's dragging a bit?"  Thanks, Wendy.

This is when I learned my first lesson about "sample rate".  I did not have the settings correct when I prepped the song for upload.  I replied back to Wendy, let her know it was fixed and within minutes, another email with the words, "Perfect, thanks! Wendy".  I felt pretty good, I had learned something and had a satisfied artist.

That's my brush with fame...

Wendy's done an exclusive interview with RightCelebrity.com regarding her accomplishments, including the discovery of famous singer Stephanie Germotta... aka: Lady Gaga .  You can read the article by clicking here.

She's a very talented singer/songwriter, model and an established painter well worth a listen and follow.
Glad to know her, now it's your turn.

You can find Wendy on
her website, Facebook and Twitter here.
